Position Summary:
The Branch Manager I position administers management for a full service, profitable branch for First Farmers Bank & Trust. Supervising branch retail staff and providing input on different committees as needed throughout the year is required. This position must assist customers in providing detailed knowledge of bank products and services, articulate the benefits and conditions of these services and cross sell products to new and current clients as needed.
Duties:
1. Supervise, train, coach, and perform annual reviews for all branch personnel
2. Manage overall branch operations including but not limited to:
3. Establish and help attain performance objectives for your branch
4. Contribute to the interaction with other bank departments, to include but not limited to Commercial Loan Officers, Mortgage Officers, Wealth Management, and SCI Leasing to leverage sales opportunities
5. Provide quality customer service through knowledge of bank products and services
6. Expand and retain bank customer relationships and solicit new relationships from prospective customers
7. Educate new and existing customers about features and benefits of bank products and services. Proactively refer customers to appropriate personnel
8. Develop and implement strategies to help grow deposits
9. Investigate competitive offerings in your market
10. Review and provide reports to management including:
11. Conduct financial consultations with customers and take applications for all consumer loans including home equity line of credit applications
12. Assist commercial loan officers with past due customer information for your branch
13. Determine fee refunds and settlement of the NSF list in conjunction with the Head Teller
14. Oversee the maintenance items for your branch, including the parking lot
15. Assist in counting tellers out when they are off more than $100 or with surprise audit counts
16. Test the branch security equipment and investigate security issues as needed
17. Coordinate training of staff on all bank products and services on an ongoing basis
18. Maintain customer contact and handle customer complaints
19. Ensure the branch stays in compliance of all applicable federal and state regulations
20. Ensure completion of all quarterly education courses
21. Build and insure employee and customer satisfaction levels are met
22. Attend all applicable meetings including Branch Manager Meetings
23. Be an active member in the community
24. Complete the CD maturity list - calling upon all customers in question
25. Assist tellers and CSR’s in peak times to expedite the work flow
26. Perform back-up Head Teller duties as needed
27. Participate in any sales activities as directed by the Regional Branch Manager
28. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Relationships/Qualifications:
1. Responsible to the Regional Branch Manager for the fulfillment of duties assigned
2. Will have contact with the customers and public
3. Ability to manage branch-banking personnel engaged in retail operations to achieve profit, growth and customer service objectives within bank policy guidelines
4. Previous experience in the deposit area (teller), sales and staff management preferred
5. Requires sound knowledge of established procedures, methods and practices, and extensive knowledge of customer base
6. Good sales and computer skills, and a proven ability to develop business opportunities are necessary
7. Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment
8. Must demonstrate management, communication, and interpersonal skills
9. Maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projects
