Develop and maintain business relationships with customers and identify business opportunities. Pursue and generate new customers and new transactions from current customers. Contact and negotiate with agent banks, holders and brokers to source potential new assets or dispose of the existing assets in the portfolio and promote business relationships to enhance sourcing opportunities. Arrange agent deals, including structuring with customers and other lenders, if applicable. Liaise with Credit Analysts to identify investment opportunities. Maintain current contact with and intelligence on financial markets. May conduct or support deal structuring activities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Identify and develop new customers in addition to generating new transactions from current customers. Review and analyze potential assets in assigned industries, prepare credit applications; and make investment recommendations. Prepare applications and reports. Make recommendations on amendments, refinancing and other ongoing activities. Monitor assigned assets and industries to maintain credit quality through appropriate asset/industry measures, financial analysis and trends, cross-sectional analysis, and market value/liquidity. Ensure compliance with applicable investment guidelines and directives from the Head Office and Branch Management. Work closely with agent banks and brokers to source potential new assets or dispose of existing assets in the portfolio and promote business relationships to enhance sourcing opportunities. Arrange deals with agent banks when required including working closely with customers and other lenders in structuring the deals. Maintain current contacts in the financial markets. Oversee all Head Office and Branch monitoring and reporting requirements, including rating review, business review of documentation, regulatory review, booking and financial and portfolio review requirements. Act as a liaison and work closely with relevant departments in Head Office in Japanese to enhance mutual understanding. Domestic travel required up to 12.5% of the time to client sites. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 3 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, Floor 22, New York, NY Salary: $173,555 - $190,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Real Estate Analyst, Relationship Manager, or any occupation/position/job title involving finance.
Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience working with finance and basic accounting; 5 years of professional experience working with corporate finance transactions and loan markets; 5 years of professional experience utilizing Microsoft 365 including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and modeling capabilities; 5 years of professional experience performing financial and credit analysis; and 5 years of professional experience achieving cost savings by minimizing controllable expenses and preventing potential liabilities by ensuring compliance to procedures and regulations
