Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Better yet, how about a FUN, Flexible very part time place to pick up some shifts where you don't do any diagnostic, but just the fun side of ultrasound? Sound like you? We are currently accepting resumes for OB sonographers looking to pick up a couple extra (fun, flexible, part time) ultrasound shifts per month. Yes, this is a great part time opportunity for a tech who already works full time, but would like to pick up a few shifts throughout the month to supplement their income without weighing down their life schedule.
Typical shifts would be 1-2 evening shifts per MONTH (6pm-9pm) and 1-2 Saturdays per MONTH (9am - 4/8hours). But if you have a more custom schedule we would love to hear from you. Most of our sonographers have been here many years and our head tech has been here for 17 years because we make this flexible for our techs.
You must have at least 1 year of paid OB experience [OUTSIDE ultrasound school and externship] and very confident as an OB tech. 3D/4D experience is preferred, but not required as we will train.
