Ultrasound Technologist jobs in Washington

Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Ultrasound, independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the direction of a Radiologist.

    This posting is for multiple openings of Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound - Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA. We are hiring for the following Shifts/FTEs:

    • 0.875
    • 0.75

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program.
    • Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; If no AA Degree, an equivalent combination of education/experience equal to that of an AA Degree may be considered or equivalent education/experience.
    • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography.
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist.
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • 1 year Medical sonography as a registered sonographer or as a registry eligible sonographer.
