Within authorized authority, HFCU policy, state and federal law, this position provides expertise in underwriting, structuring, documenting, approving or denying member loan requests for all non-real estate loans including credit cards, personal loans, boat, RV, auto and indirect loans.
- Underwrite loan applications by reviewing member information, analyzing credit bureaus, verifying collateral value, and determining the overall ability for the member to repay.
- Review and decision indirect loan applications with professional and corteous dealer interaction.
- Provide timely cross-sale information, counter offers, credit line reviews/closures to internal team.
- Ongoing education and training.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Two years related experience and/or relevant training.
- Working knowledge of state and federal lending regulations.
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Reasoning ability to structure loan offers, understand regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Member service and communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Analytics and creative reasoning.
