Summary of the Position:

• Underwrite cash advances and business loans in accordance with company guidelines
• Analyze data including business financials, bank statements, credit card statements, credit reports, and tax returns
• Determine credit worthiness and approval amounts
• Evaluate and provide recommendations for guideline exceptions

Our ideal candidate would have between 1 and 4 years of experience, preferably with a financial services company. They would be inquisitive, highly trainable, and be extremely thorough in their work. Our job is to evaluate and mitigate risk, thus “detail oriented” is not just a catchphrase.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business related)
• Ability to analyze and interpret business financials
• Must be detailed oriented with solid analytical skills
• Minimum experience: strong internships within a reputable corporate environment or a graduate degree within an analytical field
• Strong communication skills as this role will involve communicating with clients

Highly preferred:

• Credit training/ underwriting experience within commercial lending
• Commercial lending (cash advances & loans)
• Strong financial acumen
