Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Underwriter (P/C) work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Underwriting Trainee position is a hybrid-eligible role out of our Roseville, CA, Monterey, CA, or Reno, NV offices. This position is available mid-May, 2024.
Job Overview:
The Underwriting Trainee is an entry-level position. Prior insurance experience is not required. The Trainee is expected to complete a 612-month training program with the Underwriter Development and Audit department. Meeting or exceeding performance expectations as the UW Trainee in this initial phase allows for transition to regional on-the-job training in the Trainee capacity. Upon meeting, or exceeding performance expectations in this regional training as a Trainee, allows for eligibility of promotion to an open Associate Underwriter role.
