A top-rated insurance company is seeking a hard-working Underwriter supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in the underwriting department and work closely with independent agents across the state of Kansas. The underwriter Supervisor will supervise three of the lines and serve as primary underwriter for the Farm Line.
Responsibilities:•Supervise underwriting operations and staffing•Process applications, denials, cancellations, endorsements and renewals in a timely and accurate manner•Assist with hiring and training underwriting staff•Visit agencies and attend conventions•Assist executive manager in inspection program•Work with billing and claims departments•Evaluate underwriting staff•Quarterly reports to Board of Directors on activities of Underwriting Department•Assist with Insurance department compliance, request and audits
Qualifications•College degree in related fields•At least 3 years of insurance experience•Superior organizational and time management skills•Background in farming, claims and property inspections is a plus•Professional communication skills with consumers, agents, supervisors and staff•Management experience•Ability and willingness to occasionally travel the State of Kansas - 5 Days Ago
