Description
General Purpose:
The Used Equipment Specialist is responsible for working with the company stakeholders to support the used equipment business. The Used Equipment Specialist Reports to the Used Equipment Manager.
Essential Functions:

- Evaluate used equipment and assign trade values to ensure profitable resale of used equipment .
- Monitor MF Pro and JDF auctions for potential buy back opportunities.
- Manage used equipment advertising process.
- Manage Tractor House Ad per requirements.
- Develop and maintain wholesaler relationships.
- Execute wholesale policy.
- Assist the Used Equipment team with other evaluations as required.
- Research and analyze used equipment market values.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with AVE-PLP sales staff.
- Promote a team-orientated environment throughout the sales team that includes open communication, teamwork, and commitment to customer service.
- Communicate used equipment market trends to sales staff and key stakeholders.
- Additional used equipment projects as required.
- Develop and maintain a high working knowledge of dealer systems (MF Pro, Anvil App Works, Equip).
- Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of AVE-PLP.

Education:
- Associate’s degree, or higher, in an agricultural-related major or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in an agricultural-related role with activities such as sales, service, training, or other related work. Prior experience with JD technology and equipment is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.

- Work is generally performed in a professional office environment.
- Travel to stores, customer locations, meetings, and occasional overnight trainings is required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work location.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to reach for and lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, walk on unpaved terrain, talk, reach with arms and hands, have good manual dexterity, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, handle or feel, hear alarms/telephones/normal speaking voice.
