Service encompasses all aspects of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian’s governmental operations. Every employee is responsible for providing exemplary service, dignity, and respect to all Tribal Citizens, the Tribal Council, and staff members. To this end, all employees have an obligation to identify and report any service problems, issues, or concerns and, through designated channels, initiate, recommend, and actively participate in solutions.
Position Summary: Responsible for working with business leaders at all levels within the government to identify ways to leverage SharePoint capabilities. Support the standardization of business processes and data in SharePoint. Responsible for designing, building, and supporting our SharePoint environment.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate effectively with the various business units, end users, and technology teams to properly support, plan and deploy solutions that meet business needs.
- Design, build and deliver solutions in SharePoint Online.
- Actively participate in site design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment based on best practice.
- Work with business teams to fully leverage SharePoint solutions.
- Coordinate projects and apply continuous enhancements as requested via out-of-the-box SharePoint best practices.
- Troubleshooting Nintex product issues, replicating problematic behavior and providing design suggestions.
- Configure and maintain site collections, site templates, content types, lists, and other components, including management of security/permissions.
- Educate end users by facilitating effective and dynamic SharePoint training courses.
- Actively participate in site design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment based on best practice.
- Facilitate and lead the planning, design & deployment of new SharePoint sites, solutions, and workflows.
- Provide support to business intelligence, and other business needs relative to business analytics.
- Assist with designing and executing testing plans to ensure a stable, high-quality solution is delivered.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Answer Service Desk inquiries to resolve problems.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
Equipment:
- Standard office equipment includes but is not limited to computers, phones, copiers, scanners, printers, and storage media devices.
- Systems used: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Nintex & Azure.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Degree must be from an accredited institution whose program of study has been recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the United States Department of Education. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- 1 years of experience with Business Processes, workflows, and business intelligence implementation of dashboards
- 2 years of SharePoint design, creation, and maintenance experience.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Power BI and Azure Applications Services.
- Experience working with a collaborative portal site (SharePoint portal).
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and listening.
- Relevant certifications in SharePoint or other Microsoft technologies preferred.
- Proven ability to design and optimize business processes through development and deployment of key data metrics.
- Ability to identify and formally document required business analytic needs identified by specific business units.
- Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks, which may require working evenings, occasional weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong sense of customer service and good communication skills, both oral and written, and project management skills required.
- Knowledge, intellect, temperament and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment required.
- Experience in government/public administration and inter-departmental communication.

Physical Requirements:
- Work is generally sedentary in nature and will frequently require sitting, however standing, walking, and light lifting will be necessary.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate equipment and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment:
- General office and classroom environment. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office or classroom environment, with standard office equipment available.
- Local travel is necessary, so the ability to travel as needed is required.
