POSITION: Computer Repair/Technology User Support Technician
LOCATION: Pleasant Hill School District
REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of, and experience with, various technology platforms. Experience and/or training with computer hardware and software installation and upkeep, familiarity with current technology trends, telecommunication systems, local area networks and wide area networks. Be able to consistently perform repairs of computers, audio-visual, and related technology equipment. Ability to identify and solve problems in a dynamic environment. Diagnose technical issues, and work in both a task-driven and self-motivated environment. Work with people both individually and in a group environment of various backgrounds and technical abilities. Good verbal and written communication skills, willingness to implement and learn new technology. Ability to pass drug and fingerprint screening.
DUTIES: Assist in installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing District computers, audio-visual, telecommunication and related technology equipment. Assist in managing local area network infrastructure and enterprise servers. Assist in setting up and maintaining PC Imaging using MDT. Assist in managing user account creation and maintenance. Troubleshoot telephone problems at the building level. Maintain labs, configure and install workstations and peripherals for end users. Assist in maintaining an inventory of parts and equipment, complete necessary paperwork and reports. Provide information to users on appropriate usage of technology equipment, and software applications. Perform other duties as assigned.

HOURS: 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 260 days
SALARY: $24.40-$30.41 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description
Job Title: Computer Repair & Technology User Support Technician
Reports To: Technology Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: Network Support – Building
Position Summary
This position provides technical support to district staff, students, and families for both in-person and comprehensive distance learning models. The position is responsible for managing and maintaining a high volume of student and staff devices (1:1 device-to-student ratio), including device setup, repair, maintenance, and inventory management.
Additionally, this role supports district computer application systems by designing and monitoring network and system procedures, providing program training, identifying and resolving system errors, designing custom reports, and offering general user support for all technology-related needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
§ Associates degree or higher (attach diploma) in computer science, math or related field; OR
Certificates, Licenses, Registration & Other Requirements:
§ Ability to obtain and hold a First Aid/CPR card and pass SafeSchools training modules as assigned
§ Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
Desired Qualifications
§ Technical certifications preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (May be acquired through education, training, and/or experience.)
Knowledge of: District policies and procedures; modern office practices and procedures; computer applications and technology used by the District; Microsoft Windows; AST2 Software, Jamf; SCCM, warranty repair for Dell devices, Epson systems, local area and wide area networks, computer workstation hardware and software; relational database concepts and reporting tools; letter writing, correct language usage; telephone and record keeping/filing systems; safety and firs aid practices and procedures.
Ability to: understand and apply District and school policies and procedures; greet stakeholders; maintain appropriate office appearance and attire; maintain regular and acceptable attendance and punctuality, as set forth in Board policy provide information pertaining to area and/or District/School policies, procedures and other pertinent information; operate maintain and arrange for repair various office/school equipment; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work and from diverse backgrounds; interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, and community members and resolves conflict in a professional manner; maintain records; utilize keyboarding skills commensurate with the required functions for this position; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; utilize appropriate grammar and spelling when corresponding, make mathematical calculations accurately; follow oral and written instructions; accurately research various information and prepare related reports, prepare and present materials (technical or other) to groups of individuals; creatively solve problems using diagnostic information, practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
Work Direction, Lead & Supervisory Responsibilities:
No assigned permanent staff to supervise. May train and provide work directions, as directed by supervisor, to appropriate staff and volunteers.
Physical Effort:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision.
Working Conditions:
Normal office/school environment. The employee may be exposed to bodily fluids, bloodborne pathogens, sick and/or contagious students. The employee may be exposed to toxic chemicals (for disinfecting) and outdoor weather conditions.
