We’re currently seeking a passionate User Experience (UX) Designer for a 4 month W2 contract opportunity with our tech-focused education client. This position is 100% remote, but candidates must be located in the EST or CST time zones. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $50 - $53 hourly.
As a UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping intuitive and engaging digital experiences that enhance K-12 curriculum delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that prioritize the needs of students and educators, ensuring the best possible user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply a user-centered approach to product development using a Continuous Discovery framework.
- Collaborate with teams across business, content, digital strategy, research, and engineering to create seamless experiences.
- Manage your own UX work within a specific workstream while contributing to broader design deliverables.
- Champion human-centered design within Agile sprint teams and help refine design practices that align with Agile methodologies.
- Solve complex design problems and drive multiple design efforts simultaneously.
- Design user flows, wireframes, concepts, and interactive prototypes to guide development and inform technology decisions.
- Confidently present designs to stakeholders and leadership, explaining the rationale behind design choices.
- Contribute to the design system by introducing high-quality, accessible, and reusable design patterns.
Job Requirements:
- A portfolio showcasing your experience in web and mobile UX design.
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Product Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
- 5 years of professional experience in UX design, product development, or related fields.
- Expertise in usability principles, interface design trends, and Agile environments.
- Extensive experience with low and high-fidelity design sketches, wireframes, and documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Lucid, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- A demonstrated ability to work within Agile teams.
