Job Description:
The Regional End User Computing Lead is responsible for providing level three technical support escalations and desk-side assistance to the end user community across the US, utilizing remote desktop support tools, email, chat and phone calls. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues with PC’s, laptops, mobile devices, network connectivity, printers, and other peripheral devices. You will coordinate with 3rd party vendors for support on handheld scanners, printers, and other technologies. You will need to document and monitor service requests to ensure the issue resolution meets or exceeds the service level standard. As the need arises, you will be assisting with system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshooting Software & Hardware: Diagnose and resolve EUC and system-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact to the end user community. This can include issues with VOIP, lab equipment PCs, hand-held scanners, and label printers. Be the on-site resource and remote hand for all Infrastructure related incidents.
- Installing Software: Responsible for installing software for end users that is not available in Intune/Software Center. This can include specialized software for lab equipment and production applications.
- Asset Management: Ensure end user devices are in the preferred asset management system for PC refresh initiatives and tracking purposes.
- Documentation: Documenting support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articles.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for using IT resources effectively and securely.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with end-users in non-technical terms. Recommend and communicate system and process improvements to the End User Compute Manager and Infrastructure Manager.
- Adhere to safety procedures: While working on a manufacturing plant site, it is imperative to know and follow all safety procedures.
Ideal Profile:- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or experience equivalent.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in end user support.
- Previous experience working in an environment with manufacturing environments.
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate technical challenges in a simple, non-technical environment.
- First-rate written and verbal communication skills.
