- LYRIC THEATER Postion: Usher / Ticket Taker Reports to: Usher Lead, Operations Manager OVERVIEW ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Event Services Usher/Ticket Taker in Baltimore, Maryland at Lyric Theater. Under general supervision, performs work as needed to ensure a positive and safe guest experience. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical activity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist patrons with seating. Maintain position on post, section/viewing area of responsibility. Oversee assigned area for spills or situations requiring staff attention. Direct person with handicap to wheelchair seating area (if applicable). Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to established policies and procedures. Supply information such as location of restrooms, telephones and ticket offices. Monitor aisles/steps in assigned section to be kept clear and compliant with fire codes. All other duties assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Valid Identification is required * Guest Services experience is preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to speak and understand English. Read and comprehend drawings and other related materials. Follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures. Meet the physical demands of this job which include being able to get in and around the theater and facility (requires personal mobility). Provide outstanding customer service, at-all-times, to internal and external customers. Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to guest relations. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgement and initiative. Be able to report to work on time and perform duties within constraints. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
