Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The CPACS Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operation of CPACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, reporting and other related activities. Manages, coordinates, and organizes teamwork to cover support fixes as needed, assigning the proper resources and ensure customer satisfaction. Works closely with all Cardiovascular Services, referring physicians, nursing staff, HIS, and other related health care staff.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required.
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with computer systems preferably at the programmer level.
Intensive experience in working with and problem shooting information systems.
Two (2) years of experience in all levels of Information Processing environment required, (computer Operations, Desktop Support, Network Infrastructure, Server System Administration, DBA).
Required Licenses/Certifications:
None
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of networking and Dicom applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures (or similar Departmental experience) required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Three (3) years of broad information systems experience in a hospital or outpatient Facility required.
