Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-procedure Preparation:
- Create a welcoming and comforting environment in the procedure room, meticulously preparing all equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Take the time to connect with each patient, providing clear explanations of procedures and addressing any concerns with empathy and understanding.
- Intra-procedure Assistance:
- Glide smoothly through the procedure room, anticipating the needs of our medical team and offering support with a caring touch.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility, ensuring every patient feels secure in our care.
- Keep a watchful eye on patient well-being, responding promptly to their needs and providing reassurance throughout the procedure.
- Post-procedure Care:
- Extend our commitment to excellence beyond the procedure, assisting patients as they transition to the recovery area with gentle care and genuine compassion.
- Keep detailed records of each procedure, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in documentation.
- Prepare the procedure room for the next patient, ensuring it's a welcoming, organized, and clean space for their care.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Work collaboratively with our team to maintain and sterilize equipment, recognizing its importance in ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Promptly communicate any equipment issues or supply needs, contributing to our seamless patient care process.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Embrace our clinic's commitment to safety and compliance, following established protocols with care and diligence.
- Respect and protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times, reflecting our dedication to ethical practice.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized medical assistant program or equivalent training preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, especially in vascular procedures, showcasing your commitment to providing high-quality care preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and equipment, reflecting your readiness to excel in this specialized role.
- Exceptional communication skills and a warm, empathetic demeanor, embodying our clinic's culture of compassionate care.
- Flexibility in hours at times due to patient care.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities with ease and professionalism.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- This position reports directly to Lead Radiology Technician.
