Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Schedule: Typically four (4) 10-hour shifts per week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Occasionally shift hours will be extended due to patient, client, or company needs.
Pay Range: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
