Vehicle Maintenance Tech
Angel Fire Resort is looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Tech to help maintain our heavy machinery and fleet of vehicles including Snowcats, Trucks, Snowmobiles, and UTVs. We are looking for motivated, safety-conscious, happy, and hardworking candidates who have an interest in developing automotive or mechanical skills. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and mechanically inclined, but most of all looks for opportunities to help.

Base Pay: Starting at $17 per hour Depending on Experience
Location: Vehicle Maintenance Shop and other Resort Property
Employee Type: Hourly, non-exempt

Required Certs or Licenses: Driver’s License
Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Typical Shift: 8am-5pm but night shift schedules may be available as well
Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand for long periods and regularly lift/carry 50lbs.
Housing: Limited employee housing is available upon request. Employee housing is “dorm-style” and starts at $450/month. A list of local rental resources is available upon request.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares and cleans up work areas.
- Performs oil changes, tire pressure checks, recharge batteries
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Maintains daily maintenance logs and completion of work orders.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Assists with fleet preventative maintenance program as established by Vehicle Maintenance Manager to include engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters, etc.
- Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.
- Operates / drives vehicles and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Repairs broken parts.
- Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Utilizes radios to communicate with operations employees.
- Maintains a high level of respect for resort property, including tools, spaces, vehicles, resources, and facilities.
- Work with a sense of urgency and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Drive resort vehicles.
- Complete all tasks as regulated by State and Federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations.
- Tracks and properly stores all tools, supplies, and equipment used for the job.
- Above all else is always looking for ways to assist.
