    Operates and performs operator maintenance on one or more vehicles to include: Platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, ambulances, passenger shuttle vans, and cargo vans with gross weight of more than l 0,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Operates vehicle through all kind of traffic, or over rough terrain, depending upon the type of vehicle being operated. Loads and unloads cargo by hand. Exercises caution in preventing overloading and in securing cargo to prevent damage or loss in transit and for the safety and comfort of passengers. Determines shortest and safest routes. Observes safety rules, regulations, and posted traffic controls and highway guide signed. Washes vehicles. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Qualifying Experience:

    Have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing more than I 0,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Have knowledge of sizes and weights of vehicles. Be able to obtain a commercial driver's license (COL) is transporting 16 or more passengers including the driver. Be able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Be able to exert light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot control. Be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Be able to satisfactory complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries {NACI), State Criminal repository check and Installation records Check.
