Vendor Master Data Coordinator

  • Summary

    This position is responsible for managing the vendor set-up process, vendor master data in SAP, and maintaining vendor files.

    Interacts with internal and external vendors professionally.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and execute Master Data requests and related processes. Obtain and validate all requests for new account creation and revisions.
    • Perform data entry within Chobani’s ERP system.
    • Communicate set-up completeness to internal and external Chobani contacts as required.
    • Maintain master data set-up and account change records in repository per control requirements.
    • Assist internal and external contacts to complete and gather documentation requirements for vendor set-ups and vendor revisions.
    • Perform sanction screenings for vendors and maintain proof of findings in repository.
    • Review vendor agreements to identify insurance requirements and payment terms.
    • Work with Treasury team to obtain appropriate COIs.
    • Validate banking information with external contacts for new set-ups and revisions via phone.
    • Identify and perform regular Master Data maintenance schedules.
    • Perform Master Data audits and validation to ensure conformance to business rules and standards.
    • Assist with the creation of business rules, standards, workflows, and procedures.
    • Responsible for synchronization and integrity of Master Data across relevant business areas.
    • Enforce all policies and procedures based on corporate governance strategies.
    • Actively participate in process improvement and data cleansing projects.
    • Create training material and provide training as required.
    • Assist Supervisor to drive Paymode campaigns and virtual payables.
    • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting procedures.
    • Execute reports in company ERP system to respond to inquiries or for project work.
    • Maintain a professional rapport when interacting with Chobani employees and vendor contacts to complete assigned work.
    • Performs other duties as assigned including back-up duties for other AP roles.

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

    • HS diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree strongly preferred
    • 2 years Accounts Payable related experience required

    Skills and Requirements

    • Ability to utilize work from home tools and strategies. Use of software such as Teams, Zoom, and Skype
    • Ability to be on-site in South Ed or travel to a location as requested for meetings, trainings or projects
    • Ability to work with confidential information to protect the security and integrity of the company
    • Excellent support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor, and strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent data entry skills
    • Ability to work in a high paced, high energy atmosphere.
    • Ability to work effectively on a team from a remote location and in-person
    • Demonstrate thinking outside-the-box and be creative in problem solving.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word and MS Excel.
