Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. JOB PURPOSE
The position of Quality Control will have heavy truck experience, quality control experience, and metal fabrication knowledge. Quality Control inspects for quality, function, and consistency of work done in the aligning and fitting component parts to assemble products by performing specific duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Possess good mathematical skills and reasoning ability.
· Must have excellent attention to detail.
· Mechanical knowledge in regards to heavy trucks as well as common accessories added to such vehicles.
· Must be punctual and have strong work ethic and a commitment to extra hours when needed.
· Possess excellent communication skills.
· Able to work under, around, and atop vehicles at heights up to 15 feet.
· Must be reliable, dependable and trustworthy.
· Able to understand, read and speak the English language.
· Employees are to supply required tools and ANSI approved toe protection footwear.
· Ability to properly read a tape measure.
· Ability to learn new products, systems, and methods used in the building of commercial vehicles.
Required: Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Preferred: Hold a valid PA Motor Vehicle Inspection license.
Required: Minimum three years’ experience in the heavy truck or manufacturing industry. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred: Previous quality control experience.
Required: Excellent organizational and communication skills.
