Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Serves as an Inspector for the National Guard Bureau’s Office of Youth, Youth Challenge Inspection Program.
Primary Duties: Travel and conduct onsite national-level field inspections of the Youth Challenge programs to determine the level of compliance with the law, policy, doctrine, and special directives governing the resource management of the programs as well as assessing various indicators of financial performance. Inspections are developed in accordance with U.S. Army inspection policy as contained in AR 1-201 and U.S. Air Force Compliance Inspection policy as contained in AFI 9-201 with a foundational basis in U.S. GAO “Yellow Book” auditing standards. Inspections are conducted of all 40 Youth Challenge Programs on a biennial basis at various locations throughout the United States and the territory of Puerto Rico and District of Columbia.
Inspector’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, but preferably a master’s degree. Applicants must have strong computer skills to include knowledge and prior use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint. Applicants must possess excellent writing and communication skills with attention to detail and be analytical and decisive.
