Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for assuring the processes, products, and systems meet the requirements of the internal and customer specifications. The shift hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Inspects and approves of raw materials by collecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests of materials and rejecting any nonconforming material.
    • Collect, report, and enter raw material, finish goods, and pre-mix data into database.
    • Inspects in-process product by confirming specifications, conducting visual and physical tests.
    • Inspects containers for regulatory requirements and labels appropriately
    • Determine disposition of finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting any nonconforming material.
    • Maintains quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
    • Certify finished product.  Provide certificates and other documentation as needed.
    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
    • Maintains laboratory equipment by following operating instructions, performing basic maintenance and calibration as required.
    • Assists in various lab duties.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent essential.
    • Degree in technical field beneficial, but not required.
    • Experience with Quality Control Techniques
    • 1-2 years chemistry lab experience preferred
    • Basic Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook
    • Quality control testing skills
    • Flexible to work overtime when necessary
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to effectively present information to customer and other personnel in company
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
