Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Durham, NC

Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Who You Are

    Quality Control Analyst I is responsible for performing a range of Quality Control testing techniques on production facilities, intermediates, and products and provide support for the incoming material inspection program and sample management programs.


    How You Contribute

    • Performs routine cGMP testing for samples according to approved procedures.
    • Executes method qualification activities under the supervision of a project lead.
    • Performs incoming material inspections.
    • Support sample control/management activities.
    • Supports environmental monitoring and testing, where required.
    • Support operational systems (equipment/instrument maintenance/calibration, equipment alarm monitoring, and sample handling/tracking)
    • Ensure continuous lab compliance with applicable cGMP regulations and SOPs, and support regulatory audits.
    • Other laboratory responsibilities as required.


    What You Bring to the Team

    Education & Experience

    • Minimum BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, or related field
    • 0 – 3 years of experience in a cGMP, QC, or a similar laboratory environment is required
    • Strong good documentation practices
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Previous experience performing HPLC, PCR, or cell-based potency testing is preferred.

    • Self-directed individual who is able to work with limited direction in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
