Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Serves as an Inspector for the National Guard Bureau’s Office of Youth, Youth Challenge Inspection Program.


    Primary Duties: Travel and conduct onsite national-level field inspections of the Youth Challenge programs to determine the level of compliance with the law, policy, doctrine, and special directives governing the resource management of the programs as well as assessing various indicators of financial performance. Inspections are developed in accordance with U.S. Army inspection policy as contained in AR 1-201 and U.S. Air Force Compliance Inspection policy as contained in AFI 9-201 with a foundational basis in U.S. GAO “Yellow Book” auditing standards. Inspections are conducted of all 40 Youth Challenge Programs on a biennial basis at various locations throughout the United States and the territory of Puerto Rico and District of Columbia.

    Inspector’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Continuously conduct research to ensure all changes to law, policy, doctrine, and special directives are captured for the operations functional area inspection tools.
    • Provide input to the development of policy for operations as required.
    • Develop and present formal In-Briefings and Out-Briefings routinely provided as part of every inspection.
    • Communicate in writing and verbally with Program Directors and staff in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
    • Communicate all contract-related issues to the Program Manager.
    • Prepare executive summaries for the Youth Challenge Program Office (NGB-J1-Y) and submit them within 24 hours of the conclusion of each inspection.
    • Prepare exhaustive reports after each inspection using the Joint Lessons Learned Program format.
    • Assist with special projects contained in the Statement of Work (SOW) or as directed by the Program Manager.
    • Complete all mandatory training as directed.
    • Assist the PM in the creation of the Monthly Progress Report (MPR) and the year-end roll-up.
    • Record meeting minutes when directed or when you are the only Alutiiq representative attending.
    • Complete Travel Authorization requests in accordance with the terms of the contract.
    • Attend Annual Program Director’s workshop(s) and contribute to the development of workshop briefings and materials as directed by the PM.
    • Attend Program Directors teleconferences as directed.
    • Provide input to the Trend Analysis briefing. Input must be supported by data.
    • Assist in the preparation, collection, compilation, and formulation of data collected in the annual report data call.
    • Conduct the bi-annual checklist review and production of the analysis report.
    • Assist in the preparation of the Quarterly Assessment Summary Report.
    • Provide input and or develop the stop light charts.
    • Assist in the preparation and compilation of information required in the Director Self Assessments.
    • Provide assistance to the inspection team lead in the creation of all inspection products regardless of whether the product involves your specific area of expertise.
    • Comply with the technical proposal outlining how Alutiiq will accomplish the government tasks.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, but preferably a master’s degree. Applicants must have strong computer skills to include knowledge and prior use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint. Applicants must possess excellent writing and communication skills with attention to detail and be analytical and decisive.
