Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Benefits:

    Health & Dental Insurance: The Manko Health Care Plan is Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas. Full time employees are eligible for health and dental insurance following a 60- day waiting period. Manko pays 100% of the monthly premium for employee only. All other plans, Manko will pay 50% of the cost.

    Life Insurance: Full time Manko employees are provided with a $25,000 term life insurance policy following a 60-day waiting period. Manko pays 100% of the cost for the employee. Dependent term life insurance is also provided for spouses and children. Additional voluntary term life insurance, AFLAC and vision plans are available for the employees and their families through payroll deductions.

    401 (K) & Profit Sharing – Retirement Plan: Manko has established and currently administers a 401(K) and profit sharing to supplement employee income upon retirement. Eligibility is based upon certain criteria: 18 years of age, minimum of 1000 hours worked, and 6 months of service.

    Holidays: Manko employees enjoy seven paid holidays throughout the year. (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and Christmas.)

    Vacation: It is Manko’s policy to grant vacations with pay to provide eligible employee’s time for rest and recreation in recognition of services performed. After the first year of employment, employees receive one week of paid vacation and two weeks of paid vacation after two years of service.

    Payroll: Employees are paid on a weekly basis through electronic deposit or pay cards (IA & CO only).

    Shift Start Time: Manufacturing shifts typically begin at 7:00 a.m. Monday – Friday but can vary based on location and department needs. Overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. Employees need to be at least 18 years of age in production areas.

    Employee Referral Program: Employees have the opportunity to earn additional dollars for referring friends and family for positions at Manko Window Systems.

    Safety Incentive Rewards: Employees are able to earn additional dollars for maintaining a safe work environment and avoiding accidents.

    Additional employee discounts and activities: Manko Window Systems provides various employee events and activities to reward hard work, dedication, and team comradery.

    Annual Holiday Production Shutdown: Manko Window Employees will get to enjoy a paid annual production shutdown commencing the days between Christmas and New Year’s Day for paid company holiday.

    • Employees who were hired before July 1st will receive pay for all observed additional production shutdown days during the closure between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, in addition to the allotted Christmas Day and New Year’s Day paid holiday.
    • Employees who were hired after July 1st will receive 50% of the paid holidays awarded in the year they were hired.
    • Employees hired after November 1st will not be eligible for paid holiday in the year they were hired.


    Quality Control Inspector

    As a Quality Control Inspector at Manko Window Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of our window and glass products. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with prior Quality Control experience to help maintain our commitment to excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Quality Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of window and glass products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including defects, deviations, and corrective actions taken. Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant departments.
    • Process Monitoring: Monitor manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
    • Defect Identification: Identify and categorize defects or non-conformities in products and work with production teams to implement corrective measures.
    • Calibration: Regularly calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy in quality assessments.
    • Training: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control processes and standards.
    • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend and implement preventive measures.
    • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality, processes, and efficiency.
    • Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
    • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for prior Quality Control experience.
    • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools, including Six Sigma or Lean principles.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
    • Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools and equipment.
    • Basic computer skills for recording and reporting.
