We are actively recruiting for a highly qualified Senior Manager, Venture Growth System, to join our team in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.
What you’ll be doing:
Use financial, commercial, leadership, and other skills to
• support teams that create new business strategies, concepts, products, and go-to-market strategies.
• lead analysis including market and opportunity sizing, benchmarking, forecasting, modeling, sensitivity analysis, margin analysis, pro forma P/L creation, business plan creation, performance vs. metrics, valuation, etc.
• lead gathering of inputs, develop and analyze and recommend valuation models for any new business opportunities.
• evaluate and lead recommendations on capital allocation strategies (build, buy, partner) and make data-backed recommendations.
• support investment opportunities as a member of a cross-functional team that influences long-term, company-wide investment initiatives; lead delivery of services to investments
• collaborate across the enterprise to help assess and prioritize investments to best align with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
• create, measure, and report against metrics to measure progress, including the strength of a new business portfolio.
• manage team budgets and forecasts.
• engage with external partners and vendors that support team strategies.
• act as a project manager of various work streams.
• lead small teams and develop capabilities.
• act as a jack-of-all-trades supporting general commercial efforts on teams when necessary.
Want we want you to have:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience with 4 years in strategy, corporate development, venture capital, or innovation. MBA preferred.
• A Venture Growth Mindset including: adaptable, positive, resilient, biased toward action, solution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity -- all with a focus on rapidly contributing, learning, and growing
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Advanced modeling skills and the ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines.
• Strong communication skills; ability to concisely articulate capital allocation thesis to internal partners, including senior leadership.
• Broad financial competence, including a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance principles (comprehensive understanding of valuation methodologies).
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leading internal and external resources.
• Self-starter can work independently and in collaborative teams.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
