West Ashley Veterianry Clinic (WAVC) is looking for a reliable full-time or part-time veterinary assistant, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a small animal veterinary practice. Animal handling experience in other settings (such as grooming, pet-sitting, or doggy daycares) is not considered veterinary experience.

- Each workday primarily consists of assisting veterinarians with appointments. This includes seating the clients, obtaining a history, any samples that may be needed (blood, ear cytology, urine, etc.), providing client education (on preventive care, how to medicate, what vaccines are needed), restraining/assisting for the veterinarian during the pet's exam, inputting invoice items, and filing any prescriptions.
