Dayton South Veterinary Clinic is seeking a part time veterinary assistant to join our busy 2 doctor small animal, avian, & exotics practice. Full time hours can be discussed and possibly offered after 90 day work period.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to restraint of animals for examinations or procedures, assisting with radiographs, running in house lab work & fecal testing, filling prescription medications, and medication administration under supervision of veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Good communication skills are needed to interact with clients as well as competent computer skills.
Experience with Cornerstone software and Idexx laboratory machines is a plus. Prior veterinary experience is preferred for applicants.
Salary is competitive based on experience level. Morning, evening, and weekend availability is needed. Benefits offered once eligible include 401 k retirement matching plan and discounted employee pet veterinary care.
