Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision of a veterinarian. Overnight Veterinary Assistant / Doctor’s Assistant
You possess a strong interest in supporting veterinarians with Inducing patients, prepping patients, monitoring patients, and recovering patients. You also maintain situational awareness (able to prioritize), assist outside your primary duties (patient care regardless of department), and other task not mentioned here (as they relate to patient care and client service.
Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 ALL dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities. An additional $3.00/hr differential pay for qualified overnight hours.
