The veterinary technician is responsible for client and patient care and for assisting the veterinarian.
Animal hospital where employees work in the front and back of hospital with a high level of client interaction.
Exposure to x-rays and anesthetic gases with proper protective measures.
Possible potential for exposure to zoonotic diseases and possible hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
Veterinary Technicians assist the veterinarian in surgical procedures using proper aseptic techniques and monitor vitals (temperature, respiratory and heart rate).
Perform routine laboratory procedures and analysis in hematology, microbiology, uranalysis and serology.
Perform intravenous catheterization and blood draws.
Initiate triage and emergency procedures.
Take and develop radiographs.
All other assigned tasks appropriate for technicians.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Great if you are a Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on feet all day and handle multiple unrelated tasks in a busy work environment.
Must be customer service oriented and friendly.
Must be able to work all shifts including nights and weekends.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
