May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys utilizing their multi-tasking skills for a fast-paced environment. The veterinary assistant will lead routine exam rooms by obtaining the patient’s history, prepare and discuss core vaccines, communicate with the DVM and veterinary technicians on diagnostics, dispense medications, and client communications.

Clinic hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm
Compensation: entry level starts at $18.00/hr and increases based on experience.
Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician provide support to the medical staff in the operation of a small animal facility in accordance with hospital policy and procedures and provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act focused on room and pharmacy assistance. The veterinary assistant and veterinary technician will be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients and have great attention to detail and organizational abilities.
