Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision of a veterinarian. We are a full service Veterinary Mobile Unit seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant. A typical day starts at 8:15 and ends anywhere from 3:00 to 4:30. We work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday with typically no weekend hours. On average you would make 35 to 40 hours per week. I am seeking a dedicated compassionate assistant. No experience is necessary. I will train on the job while working. A active drivers license is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
