In addition, Video Editor proficient using Adobe Creative suite and production software including After Effects and Final Cut and other editing software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Description:
As an Entry-Level AV Technician in the trade industry, you will have the opportunity to embark on a rewarding career path with potential for growth and advancement. This role requires hands-on work in diverse environments, including outdoor elements, crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders. You will be responsible for assisting with installations, troubleshooting, and programming tasks while upholding our commitment to perfection and white-glove customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements:
o Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in audio-video, electrical work, or related fields is preferred but not required.
o Experience: No prior experience is necessary; however, a strong interest in audio-video, technology, or related fields is preferred. Previous experience in construction, electrical work, or customer service is advantageous.
Skills:
o Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
o Basic understanding of audio-video equipment and components.
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
o Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
o Adaptability and willingness to work in diverse environments, including outdoor conditions, crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders.
o License/Certification: Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Technical certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA certification, Control4 certification, Crestron certification) are beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, up to 100 lbs.
o Physically able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and withstand outdoor elements.
Availability: Flexibility in scheduling is encouraged, as some jobs may require evening/overnight shifts or may run past regular quitting time on occasion. Local travel is required at times, and candidates should be willing to accommodate occasional travel requirements.
