The Video Editor mixes and masters audio. Edits video footage to desired length and format, creates motion graphics, and completes color corrections. Being a Video Editor archives and stores all files, footage, graphics, and audio. Encodes final videos to desired size and format. In addition, Video Editor proficient using Adobe Creative suite and production software including After Effects and Final Cut and other editing software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. CGS is seeking to hire temporary Video Editor Technicians to join our team in support to XCTC Army National Guard training. We are looking for local talent of people who enjoy making creative videos with Final Cut or Adobe Pro Software. Our Video Editor Technicians edit recorded video from Instrumented After Action Reviews (I-AARs) and compile a single take-home quality video for each I-AAR.
Essential Functions:
- Support the AARP Team Lead and I&C Chief in the development of digital audio/visual products
- Support the Operations Manager in the digital portion of the take home package
- Use complex editing software such as Final Cut and Adobe Premier to piece together still images, footage, sound effects, dialog, and animation effects
- Combine video and digital photos from Guardsmen conducting training
- Use software such as Adobe Premier Pro and Final Cut to assemble the raw products along with sound bites from radio transmission recordings into short movies
Requirements:
- Pass a background check
- Have a valid Driver's License and be able to commute daily
- Ability to safely lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in an outdoor environment using military tents and portable restrooms
Education: N/A
Experience: Experience editing and producing videos.
- Final Cut Pro: 1 year (Preferred)
- Adobe Photoshop: 1 year (Preferred)
Working Conditions: natural conditions indoors
Job Type: Seasonal/Temporary
Work Hours: 8-12 hour shifts, 6-7 days / week, for a total of up to 6 weeks.
