The ideal candidate will possess:

• Five years professional experience producing, shooting, and editing high quality video content
• Demonstrated use of Adobe suite of products; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop
• Strong cinematography skills
• An excellent eye for lighting, staging, framing and creative filming techniques to create dynamic and impactful videos
• Technological savviness
• Ability to work both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently
• Superb organizational and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects from start to conclusion on time
• High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred

The New York Senate Republican Conference is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented videographer to join their communications team. As an integral member of the team, the videographer is responsible for shooting and editing content on behalf of the Senate Republican Leader and members of the Conference. The videographer will interface directly with legislators and staff across the state while working with internal Albany communications, social media, and graphic arts teams to formulate communications strategy and supplement communications implementation.

This dynamic role will include the following responsibilities:

• Shoot and edit on-location and in-house videos assigned by communications leaders
• Manages and track progress of projects to ensure timely completion
• Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality video productions
• Travel on a regular basis (approximately 30%-50%) to cover events and production shoots
• Develop and pitch video story ideas
• Act as crew chief/field producer for certain off-site shoots
• Set up and operate in field productions
• Functions as senior editor on video production projects
• Conduct interviews with video subjects

Salary range is $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with education and relevant work experience.
