    Seasonal Membership and Visitor Services Associate (Part-Time)

    JOB SUMMARY: This position will directly support Visitor Services and Membership by providing outstanding customer service to visitors and members throughout the Museum. This will include working on the Museum floor, in the box office and in the membership office.


    This is a seasonal position expected to last from May-through August, with some potential needs in September. The successful candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.


    PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Provides customer service by assisting visitors throughout the Museum, box office, membership office and museum information desk
    • Greets and interacts with members and visitors to enhance their experience in the Museum
    • Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries from visitors and members with accurate information about the Museum, exhibits, programs and services
    • Leads special experience tours including walking through the museum and artifact handling
    • Provides support and staffing for special events and promotional activities
    • Completes general clerical work including answering phones, opening mail, filing, etc.
    • All other duties as assigned


    POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
    This is a part-time, seasonal position. Will include holidays, weekends, and other shift coverage as required. The salary for this position is $15.50/hr.


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent


    • Experience: Museum or other non- profit experience preferred, but not required


    • Abilities: Ability to provide exceptional customer service; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to use a computer and perform basic clerical tasks; ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; genuine interest in or enthusiasm for baseball


    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The nature of this work involves constant movement including walking, bending, stretching, standing, carrying, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving up to 50lbs with or without accommodations.

    computer, printer, cash register
