    Position Summary


    Position Summary

    Regional Director will supervise the Hotel Director and staff, as well as coordinate and oversee the operation of the hotel satellite offices within the area of supervision. Maintains overall responsibility to assure adequate operation and quality control. Authority to hire or terminate employees, or suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or any other change of status. Ensure the maximum in client service, operational efficiency, employee development and profitability levels. Strong positive customer service relations with local level hotel executives, clients and immediate staff. Prospect partnership opportunities to assist in developing the Five-Star portfolio, including contacting potential leads, scheduling and conducting sales calls and coordinating presentations in an effort to procure new business, while maintaining and developing current partner relationships.     

    Experience Required

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry
    • Advanced hands-on knowledge of and experience with all audiovisual applications
    • Exceptional customer service and/or hospitality experience required
    • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required to operate company vehicle
    • Certification in audiovisual technology or related courses (preferred)

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Supervise regional personnel to maximize each person’s potential. Maintains ongoing communication with team. Conduct timely employee reviews.
    • Maintain an appropriate level of public relations with employees, clientele and hotel staff.
    • Communicating effectively with the hotels’ staff and with the Director of Event Production.
    • Achieving budgeted sales and maximum profitability.
    • Maintenance of existing programs, as well as the development of new concepts which ensure the highest possible level of quality equipment and service excellence.
    • Maintaining knowledge of local competition, resources and general industry trends and innovations.
    • Implementing and supporting operating policies and procedures.
    • Providing appropriate staffing to meet the requirements of business levels.
    • Coordinating internal training and development programs which foster promotion within the company.
    • Maintaining updated and current knowledge of audiovisual projection, programming, sound, lighting, video, show direction and all forms of audiovisual productions and equipment currently practiced by Five-Star AudioVisual, Inc.
    • Maintaining a current and secure inventory at location.
    • Maintain an ambitious, hard-working, professional development of self and subordinates.
    • Provide outstanding customer service.
    • Effectively oversee day to day operating procedures in accordance with company policy.
    • Effectively manage the sub-rental of equipment to ensure client need and office profitability is met.
    • Manage on-site inventory according to company standards, including utilization, maintenance and repair.
    • Proactively prospect leads.
    • Participate in weekly sales discussions.
    • Continually capture hotel business.
    • Maximize revenue potential utilizing company sales strategies.
    • Effectively utilize the company’s business software.
    • Ensure client and hotel account billing is completed accurately and on-time.
    • Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and image of self, as well as subordinates.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    This position has Supervisor responsibility. All personnel within the region report directly to the Regional Director.

    Required Technical Skills (Minimum):

    • Audio - microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.
    • Video - LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, etc.
    • Lighting - GOBO, gels, uplighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.
    • Computers - Advanced knowledge on PC and Mac software

    Work Environment:

    • This position requires the ability to work long hours on your feet
    • This position requires the ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds
    • This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule
    • This position requires the applicant to undergo and pass a background check in accordance with local laws/regulations
    • This position requires the applicant to be authorized to work in the United States
