Voice Communications Analyst designs, reviews, analyzes, and maintains an organization's voice communications system. Makes suggestions to end users regarding voice communications software and hardware solutions, and offers support and troubleshooting. Being a Voice Communications Analyst ensures uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features, including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. May research and recommend vendors. Additionally, Voice Communications Analyst may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Voice Communications Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The Communications Technician must have the demonstrated ability to operate and maintain satellite earth station systems. These systems include SATCOM terminals, Tech Control Facility (TCF) equipment, Cryptographic equipment, Security Systems, Telephone Systems and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment. Specific experience operating and maintaining Digital Communications Sub- Systems (DCSS), Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS), AN/GSC-52B (V5), AN/FRC-181(V)2 MILSTAR Satellite System, Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T) and Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).

Required Skills/Experience: (List any specific skills required and amount of experience necessary to perform job. i.e., supervisory experience, certification/license, driver's license, security clearance)
Two (2) years experience operating/maintaining terminals, systems and equipment as described above. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Physical Demands: (Indicate any special requirements, e.g., walking, lifting, travel requirements, etc.)
Required to lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements. Some travel required. Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job related areas such as environmental, safety, security, and general housekeeping. May be required to handle hazardous material and/or collect hazardous waste. Some bending, stooping, walking, and lifting may be required.
