Volunteer Services Director jobs in New Haven, CT

Volunteer Services Director manages a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Services Director provides training resources and guidance to a team of supervisors to assist with educating volunteers. Manages the scheduling of volunteer workers to ensure adequate assistance for projects or objectives. Additionally, Volunteer Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Volunteer Services Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Volunteer Services Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
