Volunteer Services Director manages a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Services Director provides training resources and guidance to a team of supervisors to assist with educating volunteers. Manages the scheduling of volunteer workers to ensure adequate assistance for projects or objectives. Additionally, Volunteer Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Volunteer Services Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Volunteer Services Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of 50 FTEs, including the Manager of SPD and their dedicated team.
- Oversee the operations of 9 primary ORs and 1 hybrid, facilitating an impressive 5500 surgeries annually.
- Champion the growth and success of our surgical services, with a focus on Orthopedic, General, and Bariatric surgeries.
- Collaborate with 2 existing robots in the surgical arsenal, with a third one on the horizon.
- Coordinate with 3-4 service line leads to ensure streamlined and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a surgical services setting.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial; we need someone who is not rigid but thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Political savvy is a must; the ability to work alongside leaders and build strong relationships is essential.
- Adept at managing change and driving continuous improvement in surgical operations.
