McCain Food's facility in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 3 million pounds of french fries a day!
Position Summary :
Assist Process Control Manager in Formula Recipe Management work stream. Conduct studies and organize data relating to efficiencies in the line flow process to maximize Raw Material Utilization and Total Solids Utilization. You will work with the Operators to ensure expected production is maintained regarding recipes and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gather data for targeting at critical measurement locations.
2. Build Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) based on targets and adjust as necessary dependent upon specific parameters. Train and develop employees in use of OCAP.
3. Assist in developing and performing test runs with Process Control Manager.
4. Create Standard Operating Procedures, One Point Lessons, and Standard Work for BOPs and Process Control procedures.
5. Audit Infinity data input and OCAP implementation. Update Infinity database on Formula Recipe Management (FRM) changes.
6. Working with Production staff to understand needs and help correct process.
Qualifications:- Requires a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts, principles, and calculations.
- Proficiency with the Excel and MS Office suite of tools is necessary.
- Requires flexibility of work schedule. Normal schedule is eight hours per day, five days per week, but will be required to work other shifts and weekend hours as needed.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
Frequent: Sitting at a desk. Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist. Walking up and down a flight of stairs.
