Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and have experience with various shipping tools and systems.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them accurately.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate pallet jacks and order pickers to move products within the warehouse.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure correct quantities are processed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred, particularly within a distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
- Experience with e-commerce operations is beneficial.
- Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory tracking and order processing.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading and unloading tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the warehouse.
