Warranty Manager jobs in Kansas

Job Purpose:
The Warranty Manager is expected to proactively pursue opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives; applying strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities to help identify warranty opportunities and negotiate resolution with OEM’s.

Duties and responsibilities

• Process all warranty claims according to Manufacturers’ specifications, productively interfacing with our Customers, the Manufacturers, and our internal Parts and Service departments.
• Conduct analysis of product failure using company data and OEM data to enable data driven decision making.
• Make and/or present purchasing and repair guidance based on data analysis
• Oversee and train Maintenance Shops on warranty repair and identification
• Establish monthly warranty recovery goals based on fleet age and equipment type
• Design and build, reports, scorecards and dashboards to measure performance and internal warranty benchmarking
• Drive and design new models in order to increase warranty collection and outline new opportunities as they occur
• Log and track Standard and Extended warranty inspections, claims, credits, returns and all other required documentation.
• Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
• Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.
• Follows up on payment of outstanding claims.
• Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed.
• Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, or to be scrapped.
• Post claims and generate report metrics on claims status.
• Negotiate with all parties to resolve disputes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Three or more years of experience related to warranty management related to Class 8 equipment
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong work relationships both internal and external
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required; including advanced Excel skills
• Must be able to work independently, assume the initiative, and organize both the workload and all records
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Familiarity with OEM warranty policies and procedures to include Paccar, Freightliner, Navistar, and Volvo a plus.
• Mechanical background a plus
• Experience with TMT and TMW systems a plus
