Job Overview:
We are seeking a Waste Management Manager to oversee waste management operations for construction sites. The Waste Manager will be responsible for coordinating delivery and set up of roll off containers and port-o-johns. Maintaining a safe and efficient waste management system.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule delivery and set up of roll off dumpsters and port o johns.
- Coordinate waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities. Visit job sites daily.
-Collect and ensure accuracy of invoices and driver tickets daily.
- Inventory and order supplies needed for port o johns.
- Train employees on proper waste handling procedures and safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with waste management regulations
- Maintain accurate records of waste disposal activities
-Direct contact and communication with owner. Oversight of 5 team members initially.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in waste management, pump truck experience or a related field required.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste management
- Oversight of operations heavy equipment such as front loader trucks, forklifts, roll-off trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, Must be professional and represent company in professional manner, must be able to send and receive emails.
- Must be willing to work 6 days per week.
-Valid Drivers License required, CDL license a plus.
-Must be willing to travel 1-3 days per week, Must be willing to travel to FL, GA and SC and must be able to book hotel rooms.
-Pre-employment Drug Screening required.
