Waste Management Manager develops and implements procedures for the disposal of hazardous or contaminated materials per governmental regulations. Oversees the design and implementation of waste inspection, handling, and disposal systems. Being a Waste Management Manager trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials. Monitors and reviews regulations and trends and maintains effective waste management policies and procedures that support business operations. Additionally, Waste Management Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Waste Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Heavy Equipment Mechanic III in Temple, TX

    The Heavy Equipment Mechanic III performs complex preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide variety of yellow iron equipment. The ideal candidate will have the following experience in this field:

    • 4-6 years’ experience in Heavy Equipment Maintenance
    • Experience working with companies focused on heavy equipment repairs for the following: Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Peterson or similar
    • Must be experienced with computer-based diagnostic and troubleshooting of heavy equipment using programs such as CAT ET, VOLVO VCADS or similar
    • Must be familiar with web-based parts and service information systems such as CAT SIS, Volvo PROSIS
    • Preferred experience working within facilities such as a component rebuild center (CRC) rebuilding major components such as transmissions & engines from heavy equipment 
    • Has own tools

    I. Job Summary
    Performs complex preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment (Trucks and Yellow Iron).

     

    II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other minor duties may be assigned. 

    • Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars).
    • Diagnoses and repairs differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
    • Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
    • Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.Mchecklists, and oil samples.
    • Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants, water pump, welders, and other equipment.
    • Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    A. Education and Experience

    • Education: Not required.

    Experience: Six (6) years of relevant work experience.  

     B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

    Valid drivers license and must have a clean driving record.

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Legally eligible to work in the United States.

    Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.

    C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

    • Skill in operating   tools, equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of vehicles and equipment, skill in repair of special purpose equipment, ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks, ability to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles, ability to utilize fleet maintenance software program, and knowledge of Total Tire Maintenance Program may be required.

    PPE

    • Full face supplied air in some arrears

    Suit Appropriate Barrier Suite:  Liquid  yellow Tyvek with sleeves, apron, booties; Solid  white Tyvek

    Gloves  appropriate to hazards present  PVC over Nitrile or Butyl (Liquid Waste) Leather Work (Solid Waste), Leather/Cloth work (when handling equipment or containers)
