Allied Pollution Control, Inc. is seeking a New York state licensed wastewater treatment plant operator based in southwestern Dutchess County, NY, Putnam County, NY Westchester County, NY or Orange County, NY. Additional potable water certifications are welcomed.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Must hold valid NYS Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation license - grade 2A or above.
2. Must hold valid Driver's License in good standing.
3. Must have 2 years experience operating wastewater treatment plants, with experience in one or more of the following treatment processes desired: extended aeration activated sludge, sequential batch reactors, membrane bio-reactors, tertiary micro-filtration systems.
4. Must be physically able and capable of standing, kneeling, and walking for prolonged periods. Must be able to regularly climb ladders, kneel, and lift more than 50 pounds.
5. Must be able to operate and understand smartphone applications and computer systems, including industrial SCADA and HMI devices.
6. Must be familiar with maintenance and upkeep of wastewater treatment equipment.
Expectations and Work Environment:
1. Candidates must be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment, communicating frequently with co-workers and management. Operators are expected to immediately report abnormalities or issues as they are identified.
2. Candidates must be available to work weekends, overtime as needed, and on-call.
3. Candidates are expected to maintain organized operational and maintenance records.
