Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Overview:
We are currently seeking a Waste Water Operator to join our team. As a Waste Water Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in wastewater treatment processes. This is a vital role in ensuring the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater to protect the environment and public health.Duties:
- Operate and monitor equipment used in wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, valves, blowers, and chemical feed systems-Operate forklift and front end loader
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Respond to alarms and emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and take appropriate corrective actions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tankers or loaders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Ability to plan out and coordinate multiple projects to maintain time efficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
-Excellent time management
-Attention to detail
Preferences:
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment or related field preferred
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance
- Class A or B CDLs preferred
