Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Plant manager will work closely with upper management to understand expectations for the factory and will optimize performance of the factory to meet goals set for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Their job includes setting budgets, monitoring actual performance, and developing a team with the skills required to consistently deliver on the factory objectives.
