Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Waste Water Maintenance Technician
Position is: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Direct report is to: Environmental Manager
Role: comply with O.S.H.A. regulations, Maintain and monitor waste water systems, analyses batches by obtaining samples for testing, compensate for fluctuations by adding chemicals per specifications or directions. Maintains related equipment. Moves chemical containers as required. Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment.
